Manifesto

Bringing back humanity to politics

Akhakon Anenih · Candidate for House of Representatives · Esan North East / Esan South East Federal Constituency

Introduction

Politics should serve people. It should protect the weak, create opportunity for the hardworking, and give hope to the young. Today many people feel forgotten. Leaders appear during elections and disappear after victory.

This campaign stands for a different approach. Leadership that listens. Representation that is present. Politics that remembers the humanity of the people it serves.

My mission is simple. Restore dignity, fairness, and opportunity to our constituency.

Accessible Representation

Representation must not live in Abuja alone.

I will establish a permanent constituency office open to the public five days a week. Constituents must be able to walk in, speak, and be heard.

Actions

  • Quarterly town hall meetings across communities
  • A public communication line for constituents to report issues
  • Annual constituency report showing projects, funds, and progress

When people feel heard, trust in government grows.

Youth Opportunity and Digital Skills

More than 60 percent of our population is under 30. Many are unemployed or underemployed. This is a crisis but also an opportunity.

The future economy will reward digital skills and technical ability.

Actions

  • Create a Digital Skills and Innovation Program training at least 500 youths every year
  • Partner with technology companies and training institutes
  • Support startup grants and small business funding for young entrepreneurs

A skilled youth population strengthens the economy and reduces crime.

Education That Prepares Students for Real Life

Education must prepare students for work, not just exams.

Actions

  • Support federal intervention projects for school infrastructure
  • Introduce technology training programs in secondary schools
  • Scholarship support for outstanding students from low income families

Education must become the bridge between talent and opportunity.

Healthcare Access for Every Community

Healthcare should not depend on wealth or location.

Actions

  • Push for federal support to upgrade primary healthcare centers
  • Mobile medical outreach programs for rural communities
  • Support enrollment in health insurance programs

A healthy community is a productive community.

Agriculture and Rural Economic Growth

Many families depend on farming and small scale trade. These sectors must receive modern support.

Actions

  • Facilitate access to federal agricultural grants and inputs
  • Support rural road advocacy to improve market access
  • Encourage agro processing businesses to create jobs locally

Agriculture can feed families and build wealth if properly supported.

Transparent Use of Public Resources

Public office is a trust.

Actions

  • Publish all constituency project allocations
  • Track and publicly report implementation progress
  • Work with communities to decide priority projects

Transparency restores confidence between citizens and government.

Unity and Community Leadership

Politics should not divide communities. It should unite them around shared goals.

Actions

  • Regular engagement with traditional rulers, youth leaders, and community associations
  • Conflict mediation support where needed
  • Programs that promote cultural pride and community cooperation

Communities grow stronger when leadership brings people together.

Closing Commitment

This campaign is about restoring the human connection between leadership and the people. Leadership must be visible, accountable, and compassionate.

Our constituency deserves representation that listens, works, and delivers.

Together we will bring back humanity to politics.
